incompattible disc

I have a dvd that wont play on my Yamaha 520s or Panasonic 85 it says the disc is incompatible.Must be some small corrupt part that certain players need.It however plays on my sons dvd upstairs cheepo tevion and in my computer.I tried with dvdd to rerip in iso mode and burn again still disc incompatible. This disc is not I fell not 100% complient. I have before fixed a disc through tmpeg that always sorts it out but unfortunately I lose all the proper structure and menu. Is there an easy solution to reathor this disc in its complete original form. Many thanks hammer

before trying to fix the disc, is it pal or ntsc? and/or does your player support that type of midea?

The video bit rate is damn low. Unless the DVD is about 10 or so hours long at a quite poor image quality, there's something wrong here. You could try to remultiplex the streams. VobEdit and IfoEdit can do that. You need to correct the sector tables afterwards, which also can be done with IfoEdit.

For a standard DVD, it is necessary with a combined bitrate (video and audio) lower than 9.8Mbps (9848kbps). With a bitrate higher than 9.8Mbps it becomes a nonstandard DVD, and we cannot guarantee that this will play correctly in a DVD player. If you are making a non-standard DVD, it might be different from the specifications that your DVD player supports. Please check the maximum supported bitrate of your DVD player. If you are re-encoding to the appropriate bitrate for Linear PCM audio, AC-3 audio (max 448 kbps), and mp2 audio (Max 384 kbps) the bitrate should be within the limit. Please also make sure that the combined bitrate for the captured clip is within the limit.
